 What I Can Do

In this activity, you are going to create your first post that will be published online. Please answer the guide questions below. Make your blog attractive.Using your created Blog last module’s activity (using Blogger), create a Blog Post answering the questions below. A. My understanding about Multimedia. Please include sample images, videos or websites you created using the link or insert button.

Multimedia refers to content that uses a combination of different forms of media such as text, images, audio, video, and animations to convey information or tell a story. It enhances communication and engages the audience in a more interactive way.

The concept of multimedia has been defined in a number of ways on the internet that are merged to create interactive applications. It provides users with the opportunity to interact, engage and share with diverse applications by showcasing or sharing information in a non-linear way that let them choose how, when, and what kind of content should be received. 

Here are some examples of multimedia content:

1. Images - Images can be photographs, graphics or illustrations that are used to convey a message or express an emotion. Here is an example of an image:

This image was created to comply for my E-TECH Activity during the blended learning using Canva for Education featuring the Web 1.0 Web 2.0 and Web 3.0. 

Moreover, there are also different images we can see through our phones and social media. Even most of the contents here in this blog are multimedia.

2. Videos - Videos are a series of images played in succession with audio to tell a story or convey a message. Here is an example of a video:

3. Websites - Websites are  combination of multimedia elements that are used to communicate information or market a product. Here is an example of a website:

In my point of view, multimedia is an effective way to engage and communicate with an audience. It can be used in a variety of contexts such as education, entertainment, advertising, and marketing. Multimedia is found useful in a variety of settings, such as businesses, schools, homes, and even virtual reality. It is a daily feature of personal devices, including smartphones regarding of their high-end or not status.

B. How do I use Multimedia? This is the procedures you have done with the sample multimedia you posted in question number 1.

Using various platforms, I can say that Multimedia can serve as a mean to convey and distribute my ideas. I express my views in posts and gather insight from others' posts to stay updated of current events and popular topics. Choosing the best multimedia element such as an image or video can effectively deliver the message. For example, me and my friends love to share funny memes, games, and other things to each other and that is already an example of multimedia.

I use video calling platforms like Zoom to have face-to-face conversations with my loved ones who are in other provinces. I use Multimedia for entertainment purposes as well. I watch movies, TV shows, I also play online games and watch gaming Livestream and most importantly I use multimedia to pass and comply the needed activities for my subjects. I edit photos and videos and make different contents for my blogs and websites using different platforms like Wix, WordPress, Blogger, and Canva.

Overall, Multimedia plays a significant role in my life, both for personal communications, entertainment purposes, for staying informed and connected with the world around me and most importantly in education.

C. What do I think the significance of using Multimedia?

Multimedia is an effective source to convey information. It includes the use of text, images, audios, videos, and graphics. The significance of using multimedia in communication is that it can enhance and help audience to better understand the information being conveyed.

It can help simplify complex topics and make them easier to understand because everyone learns differently. Some people tend to learn better through visual aids, while others prefer audio or interactive approaches. By using different multimedia elements, the audience can learn in a way that suits them best. It can also help the audience to remember information better. For example, images and videos are more memorable, and they can help to reinforce information.

Another thing was the integration of multimedia aspects into websites, presentations, and e-learning modules especially in this subject because adding multimedia to learning modules is a great strategy because it help students to understand more the contents or the lessons. Even this website also contains multimedia and it helps add color and design so that the blog won't look boring and dull. The multimedia used were either the one's that the author captured or the one's that was edited in Canva. 

Overall, multimedia is significant because it can promote better understanding, memorability, and integration to further help someone easy ways to learn things. Other than these, they also serve as an effective source of information especially now in social media, source of entertainment and more.
